Richard Bode(First You Have to Row a Little Boat) wrote....The sailors sits by his tiller,waiting and watching.He responds to the little shifts in the wind.He changes course.He trims his sheets.He sails.

In 1995 several sailors on Walloon wondered how many of the words in the above meant anything to young Wallooners, who had not a chance to learn the sport of sailing.The solution was to start a sailing program and offer affordable lessons in hopes that families would learn to sail and buy their own boats.

Today Walloon Sailors has a fleet of 14 centerboard boats,hire four certified instructors and offer sailing to young people starting age 7 and up to include adults.

2024 -Youth Sailing Class Program

$45/Day $180/Week $1000/Season (Saves - $440)

Children 7+ | Mon-Fri | 10am - 12:00pm Classes go from June 23rd- to Aug 15th - This option allows for you to pay weekly. Meet at the WLCC(Not affiliated with Walloon Sailors) All Walloon Sailors Instructors are US Sailing Certified.
